New Mexico magazine: Mysteries & Legends

Art Director John McCauley

I had the great pleasure of illustrating an entire issue of New Mexico magazine for their Mysteries & Legends special. The project consisted of cover, a full page, and 5 half-page illustrations. The stories included Billy the Kid, the terrifying La Llorona, unexplained deaths and lost treasure!

It was truly so much fun to draw such fantastical, bloody and tall tales. Several works from this series are featured in the American Illustration annual.
